Certains fans impatients de Man of Steel ont été choqués suite ce week-end lorsque Jesse Eisenberg a été jeté comme Lex Luthor à la place des acteurs rumeur Bryan Cranston ou Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Malgré la mise en abyme de coulée, il est trop tôt pour compter The Rock sur l'Univers DC encore. Johnson est toujours sous la spéculation à apparaître dans le film, aussi connu comme Batman vs Superman, mais comme Green Lantern place.

The Man of Steel suite premières 6 mai 2016. étoiles confirmés incluent Henry Cavill en Superman, Ben Affleck en tant que Batman, Gal Gadot comme Wonder Woman, Amy Adams comme Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne que Perry White, Jesse Eisenberg comme Lex Luthor et Jeremy Irons Alfred Pennyworth.
